The Chaos Calmed

It’s Friday!

       So it’s finally Friday! It’s been a long week.  G has been doing a P.I. case this week where he has to be up at 3 AM!!! It’s killing me because I am the lightest sleeper ever so not only do I wake up when he gets up but I also wake up to every little creak and noise after he leaves because I get freaked out being alone in a house at night, or that early in the morn(due to my house being broken into NUMEROUS times when I was a child).  Needless to say, I’m exhausted.

     I’m also very bummed out, because my dress was suppose to be ready for me to pick up by tomorrow and now it is not going to be available until July 6th!!! I am pretty dissappointed and upset at this store that I bought my dress from.  They’ve messed up eeeeeverything from placing my order and dropping my order and making me repay again and now getting my delivery date wrong.  I had already made an appointment for alterations and everything.  More than that I was just really looking forward to having it.  Plus the fact that I paid for rush delivery and I don’t think this is rush.  I ordered it April 5th.  Garrett was ready to rip them a new you know what last night when I told him.   But I just have to remember, we are about to have a dream wedding in TWO MONTHS!!! It’s actually Exactly NINE WEEKS!!! Holy cow!! I am so excited!

    We also solidified everything as far as the rings go.  We have ETA’s on both mine and Garrett’s rings and I can not WAIT to see mine.  : )  Garrett said he’s had our jeweler friend remake it a few times already.  We are so lucky to have such an amazing friend.  Shout out to Kevin at Johnson’s Jewelers in Bellflower Ca.  He is amazing.  My mom use to work there and always got all my jewelery from there.  Kevin has always made everything so special.  He creates whatever you want and always tells us that it means a lot to him because we are family.  He is even sending us our rings before we pay for them.  He said he wants us to see and love them before we pay a dime.  He’s also letting Garrett pay payments of whatever he wants a month for my ring.  We need to send him a really good gift.  He has made this so awesome for us.   I can’t wait to show you all the rings.  : )

Tons of changes

For the good.. there are tons of changes coming up.  I’m excited so I thought I would share them with you.  It’s been a weird week for me so far.  One of the new changes is that Garrett is now working from home..so that’s a whole new dinamic.  But I am excited to have him here.  It’s nice.  : )  We are looking at moving and getting a bigger house so that will be a big new change.  We are also getting married this summer so that’s gonna be new.  I’ve got new kids in the daycare as of the last month and last week.  The whole dynamic has changed.  I am still getting use to having some kids gone and new kids here and the new personalities and the way it changes the schedules and who will eat what… it’s all… NEW : )

    I am excited to watch Glee today and really excited to go to corsicana with our friends this weekend.  Also get to see my birth mom this weekend and havent seen her in two years so that’s gonna be interesting.

My Apologies

I’m so sorry that it has been almost a month since I have posted.  It’s been a rollercoaster crazy and busy last month. 

There’s nothing new really to say except that we have solidified a wedding date-August 21st 2010 and it will be in Jamaica! We just got our announcements yesterday and they’ll be going out soon!  We are registered at www.registry.sandals.com and you have to search either Garrett Tapper or Ashley Fowler. 

So that’s been so exciting and stressful and amazing getting everyones rooms booked and flight booked and schedules coordinated and finding the right trip protection and stuff.  It’s been a LOT! haha.

What else? Oh the dress shop completely screwed me on my dress.  Thank God they at least ordered it but, they accidentally cancelled my first payment so i now owe them another $600.  That was tough to deal with this week.  Also IRS pushed beack ammended tax returns so we arent getting our money until mid july now.  That made things a little tougher with paying for all of this stuff. 

Also, the WS6 still has not sold.  The economy is a tough one right now.  Garrett’s been really bummed.  But i’m just having faith that it’s gonna sell at just the right time.

what else?…

UFC last weekend was awesome.  It was a fun night at buffalo wild wings. 

Things with the daycare are good.  I just said goodbye to Ella(one of my two year olds) for the summer today.  She will be back August 31st.  Another one of my two year old boys starts full time on Monday.  And I have two school age boys for the summer too so..it will be a new dynamic for sure.  I’m sure I’ll have stories : )

Brandon(Garrett’s brother) moved to Austin last week and we went down on Memorial Day to surprise him.  That was fun.  A little weird being back in a college town.  I felt like I was around a TON of little kids.  LOL. Great… here comes feeling old.  Oh well.  I couldn’t be happier : )

Rhapsody

      So I have been reconnecting to the musical part of my life if you havent been reading.  A huge bummer for me was that our laptop crashed a few weeks ago with all of our itunes library and limewire downloaded music.  Thousands and thousands of songs….gone just like that.  I put so much work into those playlists and spent hours and hours downloading all that music.  It was the one thing i was sad about when it crashed.   I downloaded the iphone app for Rhapsody a couple weeks ago and was again very saddened when my free subscription ran out lol.   So I talked Garrett into letting me subscribe to it! : )  I LOVE IT!!! If you havent played around with it you should.  We pay $15/mo to have it on both of our iphones and on our home computer and we share all the music between the three.  THe only thing you can’t do is burn the music to Cd’s(unless you pay $1/song)  If you are familiar with Pandora, this is even better.  With Pandora, you can type in an artist or song name and it’ll play songs that are similar to it in the same genres.  If you don’t like the song, you can skip it but only up to 6 times.  With rhapsody, you can type in the song or artist and play full albums, playlists, the artists top tracks, their radio station(similar to Pandora but you can skip as many times as you want), and you can view similar artists and play their stuff.  It’s so awesome and I love having it!!

    Moving on, God really blessed my family this week by giving my Brother a job!  He got a full time wharehouse shipping/receiving job at $12/hr and with full benefits.  He loves it. The people there are really cool and it’s a very stable job.  I am so happy and relieved for him.  It’s such an answer to prayer. 

     So my music addiction this week…tho it is not based around musical talent…is Usher’s song “OMG”, Taio Cruz’s song “break your heart”, and Sean Kingston’s Song “Eenie Meenie”.  I’m in total Jamaica dance mode and I’m loving it.
